Looking for a non-invasive treatment to rejuvenate and resurface the appearance of your skin? Chemical Peels may be your solution to smooth your skin’s texture by removing its damaged outer layers.

What is a Chemical Peel?

Using an acid solution, Chemical Peels can be the least invasive way to improve your skin’s appearance. Peels come in three strengths: light, medium and deep. With each treatment, your skin will see a noticeably healthier glow.

How do I decide which Chemical Peel is right for me? Depending on your skin and goals, one of these three Chemical Peels may be ideal for you: Modified Jessner Peel, Glycolic Peel, and ZO Lunchtime Peel.

Modified Jessner Peel

A popular medium-depth Modified Jessner Peel removes and corrects more extensive skin damage. It was designed to remove superficial layers of the skin, dry out active acne, reduce blackheads, and improve the overall appearance of sun-damaged, acne-prone, or aging skin. Modified Jessner’s solution is a combination of 17% lactic acid, 17% salicylic acid, and 8% citric acid.

Benefits of Modified Jessner Peel

A Modified Jessner Peel delivers several skin advantages, including:

  • Reduce the appearance of acne scars
  • Smooth out fine lines and wrinkles
  • Lessen hyperpigmentation
  • Ease stubborn acne breakouts
  • Improve overall complexion

Ideal Modified Jessner Peel Client

Men and women with uneven skin tone, acne, fine lines and wrinkles who want to improve the overall appearance will benefit from the Modified Jessner Peel. This peel is not recommended for darker skin types; however, a Glycolic Peel may be a better option.

Glycolic Peels

Glycolic Peels are light chemical peels that slough off the outer layers of skin, offering improvements for a variety of skin conditions, such as acne and superficial acne scarring, rosacea, pigment disorders, among others.

Benefits of Glycolic Peel

You’ll see more than just exfoliation with a Glycolic Peel. With each treatment, you’ll notice:

  • Rejuvenated skin with a glowing appearance
  • Enhanced skin tone and texture
  • Reduced pore size and the appearance of fine lines
  • Reduce acne and discoloration
  • Skincare products will better penetrate the skin after a Glycolic Peel

Ideal Glycolic Peel Client

Uniquely suited for all skin types, Glycolic Acid Peels are a smart choice for clients with uneven pigment, dryness and aging skin. Mild to moderate sun damage may be improved, including fine lines and wrinkles, texture and skin tone. It is recommended to gradually step up in chemical strength with each treatment to protect clients from any side effects. To gain the most benefits, three to six treatments are advised every four weeks.

ZO “Lunchtime” Stimulator Peel

Nicknamed, the “lunchtime” peel with no downtime, the ZO Stimulator Peel is a beta/alpha acid spa peel. A ZO Stimulator Peel reduces fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates cell turnover, and improves skin tone, texture and clarity with zero downtime. The ZO Stimulator Peel is a light strength that stimulates the growth of collagen and elastin, while exfoliating dull, dry skin.
