Amy Weierman
BOARD CERTIFIED PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Amy is a board certified physician assistant with a passion for dermatology. She is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Her formal educational training includes:
- Lewis University (Romeoville, IL) – BS, Biology with Minor in Chemistry
- Midwestern University (Downers Grove, IL) – MS, Physician Assistant Studies
Amy has been practicing dermatology since 2010 and has a special interest in anti-aging and cosmetic procedures and treatments, and the treatment of chronic skin diseases such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis. She ensures that her patients understand their diagnosis and the rationale behind any planned treatment. She also performs comprehensive skin cancer screening exams and is skilled in surgical and non-surgical treatment of skin cancer. Prior to specializing in dermatology, Amy practiced as an emergency medicine PA.
Amy is originally from Joliet, Illinois. Before pursuing a career in medicine, Amy served five years in the US Navy as a foreign language cryptologic technician. As a naval aircrew member with VQ-2 squadron in Rota, Spain, she was awarded the Armed Forces Air Medal for participation in Operation Provide Promise in support of UN peacekeeping efforts in the former Yugoslavia.
In her free time, Amy enjoys photography, golf, and spending time with her family hiking, cycling, and camping. She also enjoys helping their youngest son, Daniel, with his many interests and hobbies.
