About Your Consultation
Depending on your location and willingness or ability to travel, you have two options when it comes to your consultation. Dr. Moenster welcomes you to schedule an in-person consultation in either her Tucson or Sierra Vista office, or a virtual consultation via phone. Virtual consultations can be time-saving and cost-effective whether you are out of state or out of the country. For your convenience, Dr. Moenster uses the most familiar and popular internet communication applications when doing a virtual consultation. Your plastic surgery virtual consultation can be conducted via Skype, FaceTime, Zoom, or Facebook Messenger. A virtual consultation allows us to meet with patients anywhere in the world, in the convenience and privacy of their home or other preferred location.
If you are able to travel to our Tucson or Sierra Vista office location for your consultation, Dr. Moenster will meet with you to discuss your goals and expectations. Dr. Moenster takes the necessary time to listen to and evaluate your concerns, review your options, and make personalized recommendations to help you achieve your goals. She is happy to answer any questions you have about your procedure(s) of interest, and to share her before-and-after gallery with you.
One of Dr. Moenster’s patient care coordinators will then sit and speak with you about the surgical process and discuss any other questions or concerns you may have. You will be provided with a quote for your procedure(s).
For those unable to travel to our Tucson or Sierra Vista office for an in-office consultation, Dr. Moenster offers virtual consultations to our patients. Her team will happily work with you over the phone or via email. The first step of the virtual consultation process is to contact our office by phone and let us know of your interest in scheduling a virtual consultation with Dr. Moenster. When you schedule a virtual consultation appointment with Dr. Moenster, our patient care team will email you preliminary paperwork. The forms are used to provide Dr. Moenster with new patient information and other pertinent data. You may return the forms through our Patient Portal, or via fax, e-mail, or mail. Please be sure to send us accurate contact information including your current phone number. Our patient care team will also collect a $75 cosmetic consultation fee over the phone, which does apply to the cosmetic surgery or other cosmetic services. We understand situations arise in which you must cancel your consultation. Patients who are unavailable for their consultation or call to cancel/reschedule with less than 24 hours’ notice prior to their scheduled time, will be considered a “no show”. The consultation fee will be forfeited to the practice and a new $75 fee will be required to reschedule your consultation.
Scheduling Your Surgery
Once your consultation is complete, our patient care coordinator will contact you to discuss:
- Potential surgery dates
- Pre-operative care
- Follow-up appointments
- Local accommodations (if needed)
- Answer any other questions or concerns you may have
When you are ready to move forward with scheduling your surgery, one of Dr. Moenster’s patient care coordinators will work with you to find the perfect surgery date that fits with your travel plans.
To secure your surgery date, you will be required to put down a surgery deposit. The amount due will be reviewed with you by our patient care coordinator.
You will receive a packet of information and procedure consent forms in the mail or via email, prior to your surgery date. We also ask that you review all pre-op instructions that Dr. Moenster has outlined for your surgery. These may include limiting or discontinuing certain medications and/or supplements for a period of time. You may also be asked to bring certain types of clothing or garments, to make your recovery process easier.
