How Long Does A Typical Treatment Take?
The mini neck lift is typically done as an outpatient treatment. It lasts approximately 90 minutes and is performed with local and/or sedation. In fact, patients can opt to use a new type of sedation option called Pronox, which is a patient-controlled inhaled analgesia that takes effect in seconds and immediately relieves anxiety and helps with discomfort. During the treatment, the skin and muscle will be pulled up and tightened, leaving a younger, tighter looking neck and jawline.
What Results Will I See?
Impressively, the results of the mini neck lift are immediate. Following the procedure, you will notice the improvements in your jawline, and neck right away. While you may have some swelling or slight bruising, this will subside within the first several days and will give way to a fresher, younger appearance. The mini neck lift will last 5 to 7 years, but your neck will also continue to be affected by aging, environmental factors, and gravity.
Is There Any Downtime?
When the mini neck lift is completed, patients will have bandages and compression to wear on the surgical site for 1 week. There may be minor swelling and bruising that will subside within several days, and sutures will be removed one week after the procedure. Patients typically return to work after a week once the swelling has subsided and the sutures have been removed. Following the procedure, patients are asked to avoid strenuous activity for 3 weeks, but typical daily activities are generally permitted right away.
