CO2RE Laser Resurfacing is a one-treatment procedure to improve skin tone and texture through skin resurfacing. This treatment reduces the effects of sun and aging, smooths out fine lines and wrinkles, and lessens the appearance of surgical scars and acne scars.

CO2RE Laser Resurfacing Treatment

CO2RE Laser Resurfacing uses an ablative fractional carbon dioxide laser to remove layers of skin tissue. The CO2RE laser makes tiny holes in the skin to create micro-columns of controlled damage. CO2RE Laser Resurfacing stimulates your body to produce more collagen to heal itself. The CO2RE laser can be customized to penetrate varying depths to treat the different layers of the skin.

How Long Does It Take to See Results

With CO2RE Laser Resurfacing, you’ll see improved coloration, dull tone, and helps restore a thinning collagen layer. Results will begin gradually and continue to improve for months, with full results seen 3-6 months after CO2RE Laser Resurfacing treatment. Unlike erbium lasers, a CO2 laser penetrates the skin more deeply, allowing for treatment of more severe wrinkles and pigmentation issues.

How Long is Recovery After CO2RE Laser Resurfacing

After the treatment, patients report a few days of a burning sensation similar to a severe sunburn. Patients will keep the treated area moist with a special recovery balm and will want to rest indoors after CO2RE Laser Resurfacing treatment until the skin has healed. Skin peeling may last 7-14 days. The skin will be raw for several days, but by day 7-10 patients are able to use makeup when they go out in public. Patients should avoid scheduling special events for 2 weeks post treatment to heal the skin fully. 1 to 3 months of skin sensitivity may occur, and patients are given a skin care regimen and asked to avoid prolonged sun exposure. Always use a broad spectrum SPF to prevent irregular pigmentation and protect skin.
